A new collaborative work by two Morgan music faculty; Professors James Lee III, D.M.A. and Vincent Dion Stringer, M.M. Songs of Love and Loss for Baritone & Piano is published by Subito Music Publishing Company. This song cycle is based on five poems of "Love, Loss, etc..." by Mr. Stringer from a larger unpublished collection of poems titled Up Close and Deeply Personal: Poems of Innocence Lost...Courage Gained. The titles of the five poems selected for this work are 1) Nubian Princess, African Queen; 2) Beauty Unfolding; 3) Autumn's Fade; 4) Awakening from Grief; and 5) A Thanksgiving Prayer.
